Kelli Baker: Toronto


EBS: What nationality are you?

KB: Canadian, but my background is English.


EBS: How did you decide you wanted to become a model?

KB: I did it a bit here and there growing up and I recieved a lot of encouregment from my family and others, so it just took off from there!


EBS: Who do you admire in the world of modeling and fashion?

KB: I can't say so, but I do admire Cher's strength, style and personality, so I would say I look at her for inspiration!!!


EBS: What are your other talents besides modeling?

KB: I'm also a writer, an advice columnist for http://www.allthingshockey.com/Kelli.html , I'm an animal rights activist and when the mood strikes me I can shoot a mean game of pool!!!

EBS: One of the things we do at EBSports.net is live and breath sports, especially basketball. Do you have any favorite teams and/or athletes?

KB: My favorite team is the Toronto Maples Leafs. It's hard to pinpoint my favorite athlete. I have quite a few old time Leaf players I love, such as Curtis Joseph, Bill Berg, Mike Gartner, Wendel Clark, Benoit Houge, Tie Domi, but currently, I'd have to say Darcy Tucker, Alex Steen and there's been plenty of times Mats Sundin has pulled thru!!!



EBS: Now the speed round: What's your favorite Disney character?

KB: Snow White, cuz of her love for nature and animals.



EBS: What's your favorite TV show?

KB: Hockey Night in Canada.



EBS: How about your favorite music?

KB: I like all types of music, but my favorite is alternative, such as Melissa Etheridge, Rob Thomas, Jann Arden, Barenaked Ladies, Jewel, Nickleback etc.



EBS: What's the song that's currently in heavy rotation on the iPod?

KB: " Breakdown " by Tantric.



EBS: Quiet night at home or club scene?

KB: Inbetween - I'm only ever at a club when I'm working a promo and there is no such thing as quiet in Toronto!!!



EBS: I'm going to avoid the 'long walk on the beach' question, but what is your perfect day?

KB: Shopping for shoes has to fit in there somewhere!!! :) Spending time with my family, friends, pets, bf and end it off with the Leafs kicking the Sabres sorry asses, or the Senators or even the Canadians wil do! :)



EBS: How bout your favorite food?

KB: Italian is my favorite type of food, but my favorit dinner is an English dinner, with yorkshire puddings.



EBS: What is the craziest dream you've ever had?

KB: I have weird dreams evernight, so that's kinda hard to pick!!!



EBS: What is the one thing you could not live without?

KB: A photo album with all of my loved ones in it!!!



EBS: What are your biggest likes and dislikes about modeling?

KB: There's so much, it's hard to be specific. My favorite thing about modelling is the end result, that image that is achieved with myself and another creative mind, the accomplishment of it all. The thing I dislike the most is when I encounter a bad photographer and have a bad experience at a shoot, which doesn't happen too often!



EBS: What's the funniest thing that's ever happened on a modeling shoot?

KB: One time I had to climb up this steep ladder to get to a 2nd level in this barn I was doing a lingerie shoot and I had to toss up my black heels and then put them on once I was shooting. the 2nd level was extremely high. When we were finished on the 2nd level I removed my high heel shoes once again and then realized that it was much more difficult to get down then it was to get up. With a bit of a scene due to my ridiculous fear of falling and breaking my leg, I finally made it down after 10 mins of acting like a " girl ", which was quite embarrassing cuz I don't normally act like a " girl. " :)



EBS: Is there any kind of prep routine you do before modeling (listen to music, do pushups, recite the National Anthem, rob a bank etc.?)

KB: I do my hair and my make-up while listening to my favorite music.



EBS: What do you do in your free time?

KB: I love going to the beach, swimming, horseback riding, shooting pool, watching the Leafs kick ass, and being around my family, friends and pets.



EBS: What are you most proud of on your webiste, KelliOnline.com?

KB: Probably the snake shoot since that took an extreme amount of work!
